PROJECT PARTNERS.

A critical part of the success of this planning process is the participation of property owners, residents, business owners, and other stakeholders in the community. A comprehensive plan is, by its very nature, derived from the broader community.

To ensure that the FORWARD Kosciusko County process takes into account the ideas, concerns, and suggestions of the broader community, the planning process is being guided by different groups of community leaders and professionals. Together, these groups will meet regularly throughout the process and help drive community involvement, review key findings from the research and analysis and shape major recommendations for the final plan.

COMMUNITY COMMITTEES

The representatives included in the Community Committees are individuals who represent a wide array of community interests including local employers, commercial and residential developers, community organizations, public safety officials, leaders in education, and local engineers and planners. Community Committee participants were identified by the project management team and members of the steering committee. If you believe you should be included, please contact us for additional information.

CONSULTANT TEAM

A multi-disciplinary consultant team led by Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group of Indianapolis, Indiana is facilitating the process in close coordination with leadership from MACOG, Becker Consulting and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.

OUTREACH COMMITTEE

The Outreach Team will help spread the word about the process and key community engagement opportunities.  This group will meet in advance of major community events to drive interest and participation in the process. If your business or organization is interested in helping share information during our process, please reach out to info@forwardkosciusko.com to learn how you can help.

PROJECT STEERING COMMITTEE

The steering committee will work in collaboration with a planning consultant team to guide the process and ultimately decide the direction of the final plan. The steering committee consists of representation from each participating community, the County, the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, K21 Health Foundation, and the Kosciusko County Economic Development Corporation.

PROJECT LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE

Educating and building consensus amongst local leadership and strategic partners is critical in a multi-jurisdictional process. The Project Leadership Committee will work to review key findings and recommendations at key milestones.
